Philosophy: A pond is a body of standing water, either natural or artificial, which is usually smaller than a lake. I have been always wondering how I can materialize any human emotion. I have always wondered how I can show emotion without having to say anything to no one. How could I perform to visualize it? I have always wondered what someone feels when I feel, do we feel the same? What is your soul's vibrato? What does he think? How does she feel? Is it really so? Could it be "fenced" by the minds? The idea in all my works is the complete denudation of a human, without removing clothes, it is slightly banalized, but it has become available everywhere, and what is "content" / essence cannot be seen anywhere. What is the fullness of the emptiness that is occupied by the body? Ponds of emotions are the lake in which are we, i.e. our emotions symbolically reflected. This is an opportunity to see Narcis as ourselves, not in the reflexion, but in the form, to see the real self, and at the same time to denude other person's emotions, i.e., the one's across us in interaction. This work frisks with the meaninglessness of everything around us, strikes the slap on that, what has become important without having a real value. In the sea of the nonsense around us, the body has become a commercial product, the body has become only meat, generally available, each for its own price, and there is no emotions anywhere, but everyone plays with them and tries to manipulate. This work removes the makeup of modern society and reveals us to the very core, showing our essence.
Description: The work consists of two separate plates, symbolically representing the lakes on which "FEROFLUID" floats in the water. Ferrofluid is a mass made from nanoparticles of iron and ink. It moves by changing its shape effected by electromagnetic stimulants. Electromagnetic stimulants depend on what readings are made by EEG devices placed on the heads of participants in the interaction... The participants in the interaction, in fact, communicate without a word through the "Lakes of Emotions" in which their emotions are read at that moment. The idea is to embarrass their emotions and to show themselves on plates as in the palm, openly and publicly, in front of everyone honestly and purely with the help of technology - to materialize the emotion, to materialize the interaction. EEG wearable receives signals from the brain of the participants in interaction, the computer software processes it and assigns certain extensions to each participant individually, by reading the emotions maps. This information is converted later into another type of signals, that steer the electromagnets by the agency of Arduino and controller. The electromagnets are placed below the plates with ferrofluid, that reacts by creating different types of shapes depending on the information they receive from the controller that stimulates them, which gives the form to emotions. The work asks a lot of questions, and the most important one is, are we ready to fall in love?
