Cybernette, from technophobia to transhumanism

Philosophy: Learning to move, walk and run is something that we adopt first… Movement is the first thing we do and what makes us alive. It is something that is intuitively innate to us, without which we cannot imagine our life. By studying my body, I discovered that a plenty of movements we actually perform unconsciously. With the advent of new technologies into our lives and all those devices that we have invented to ease our lives, we have not imagined that these servants of ours would turn us into becoming their own slaves. Every time we take our mobile phones into our hands and use them as an extended brain for accessing information, getting to know something new, finding things out, imagining digital travels out from home and learning about other worlds, we unconsciously get into a simulation of life that is not ours and we expose ourselves to the wonders of modern technologies which are gradually overwhelming us. With getting into simulation and simulacrum, we are entering into the matrix of unconsciousness... Through the work Cybernette, I just want to show that we are already in a voluntary unconscious simulation of an artificial intelligence that steers us. I want to illustrate vividly, how much we have already become slaves of what was supposed to serve us and make us feel better.

Description: In the work, Cybernette AI controls a human as a puppet, making random generic movements by moving one's limbs... The person in the simulation spends its human-time in a straightforward literary way to the AI and through the banalizing of life AI's CPU-time creates a play from it. All creation is called simulator and person in simulator becomes Cybernette. Then the machine starts playing with human. Artificial intelligence has overpowered the human one! As we think that we play on our phones with software, apps, games – AI is now actually playing with us, as with puppets... The person, in the simulation who I brought in and was navigated by help of algorithm, is in an absurd situation. My aim is to wake up Cybernette/humans, to face them with the reality of the situation in which we already are.

Technology: Arduino + electronics.
