Philosophy: How do we recognize people around us? How do we know ourselves? How do we want to know ourselves and others? Through self-awareness of oneself and by overcoming various obstacles during life, I found out that by only looking into mirror it is not enough to find out who we are… We are questioning all the time - who are we? Where are we? Where are we from? Why us? And always we are seeking for answers somewhere else, not in ourselves… Why do we need others to tell us who we are? The authors work chimera / avatar consists of an interactive installation and that is reflection of ourselves as well reflection with other people because we are all reflections, we are all “mirrors” to each other… Mannequin which I use in my work is a medium which is the reflection of us in her and her in us. Work Body Symphony “hacks” us and our bodies... It projects itself in us and we project ourselves into it. It is a sincere mirror. Each body has its own vibrato, its energy, its charge, its frequency, which reacts in different conditions in different ways. This work detects them using quantum measurement and sensors. By means of these sensors it "responds".
Description: Internal physiological measurements, which we use to generate audiovisual response give answer every time our body and emotions react. Each part of mannequin is divided into chambers that are covered by lights that represent different organs in human body. Each group of lights show the way how some organ functions and reacts. Every light group on the mannequin reacts with some intensity and has its meaning, which is defined with positive and negative spectrum of colors, depending on results measurement of our organ states and how our body reacts - whether everything is all right or if everything is normal or maybe something is hidden in ourselves or not. She is not doctor, but she is checking us, scanning us and monitoring all the time... A set of injections symbolically placed on the installation, which is the medium between the observer and his body - by means of software and sensors, tries to "read" us, to be "empathetic", to see how we are, what happens to us in the body and how it all sounds. The work functions according to principles quantum measurements, by which it reads certain values in the organism and triggers them with sensors set on 18 parts of the body presenting certain groups of organs. The sculpture produces audio-visual responses, in this case - symphony - Body symphony and gives some reflection of the state of the organism at the moment in which the interaction takes place. With generating sound and light, chimera creates close excitement and artistic performance of our body on herself, made exclusively of information detected from our body. Sounds that we hear are the sounds and impulses of our organs and sound of our body. Each injection on mannequin body symbolizes the paradigm of collected information which we received throughout the life. Everything that we were exposed to, everything that was injected in us, consciously or unconsciously. And how would your life be and how we would be with or without them. They are reflections of everything good and bad that happened to us. What hurts or burns us, and now they are telling us who we are and how we are. Interaction between mannequin, and the individual who wants to touch her and who wants to look oneself in her is extraordinary. And in that moment, we see and hear ourselves the way we are! We hear our heart, kidneys, liver, and other organs! We are waking up! Sensors can see and hear everything, and complex software behind it enables explanation to everybody; it can detect our state and what is most important it can make us realize who we are, and get us know ourselves. Waking up, of yourself, is the most important moment of the performance, and new excitement of yourself which you had never felt before.
